Tuition Fees
Although tuition fees vary with different institutions, academic levels or disciplines, in general, Polish higher education is affordable compared to many other popular destinations where you can study in Europe. For example, the Warsaw University of Technology charges on average, an annual tuition fee of €4000 to €8000 only. The University of Ecology & Management in Warsaw, on the other hand, has an annual fee structure in the range of €3000 – €4500. Full-time international students holding a Temporary Residence Permit in Poland are allowed to work up to 40 hours a week or participate in professional internships in an area related to their studies, without a work permit.
Job Opportunities
- You can find on-campus jobs with your university departments as teaching assistants, lab assistants, library assistants, and student services attendants. You can also work as a server or waiter at on-campus cafeterias.
- Off-campus, you can pick up jobs in tutoring languages (preferably your native tongue or any language in which you have demonstrated high proficiency levels), or in restaurants and call centers, etc.
Wages:
The national minimum wage in Poland is PLN23.50. In the case of internships, you can expect pay in the range of PLN18.30 – PLN25
Upon graduation with a Polish degree, you can stay back to look for suitable employment, provided your temporary residence permit is still valid. Once you secure a job, your employer needs to initiate the process for a work permit before you can start working.
After 5 years of uninterrupted stay in Poland and a stable income source for the last three years, you can apply for a long-term EU resident permit, provided you have medical insurance, are proficient in Polish and have a place to stay.
After 3 years of uninterrupted stay with a long-term EU resident permit, you will be considered eligible for Polish citizenship, subject to a stable income, accommodation, and knowledge of Polish.

In Poland, the highest temperatures are recorded at 24 degrees Celsius during July-August and sub-zero temperatures from December to March.
How To Apply at Polish HEIs to Study in Europe?
- Undergraduate program – Should have completed senior school and hold an accredited senior secondary school leaving certificate.
- Postgraduate program – Must have completed at least a three-year undergraduate program

Higher education programs in Poland are taught in Polish, English, German or French. So, you need to submit an appropriate language proficiency test score that fits the medium of instruction of the program you are applying for. The acceptable language tests are TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency for English, DEFL for French, and Zertifikat Deutsch Plus 3 for German.

Visa Guidance to Study in the Poland
Except for a valid travel document, EU/EEA/Swiss nationals do not require a visa to live, study or work in Poland for less than 90 days. For a period beyond 90 days, they simply need to register their stay at the local registration office.
Non-EU/EEA students enrolling on a full-time degree program in Poland must get a long-term National visa, valid for 90 days to one year, from the Polish Embassy or Consulate in their home country. Polish National Visa application fee: PLN340
